Project Manager II

Basic Experience: Must have 8 years of IT or Systems Management experience, including at least 5 years of IT software management experience.

Specialized Experience: At least 5 years of experience in direct supervision of IT software development, integration maintenance projects, and/or engineering.

Duties: Performs day-to-day management of assigned delivery order projects that involve teams of data processing and other information system and management professionals who have previously been involved in analyzing, designing, integrating, testing, documenting, converting, extending, and implementing automated information and telecommunications systems. Demonstrates proven skills in those technical areas addressed by the delivery order to be managed. Organizes, directs, and coordinates the planning and production of all activities associated with assigned delivery order projects. Demonstrates writing and oral communication skills.

Education: B.A. or B.S. degree in computer related field; PMP Certification.

Software Engineer II

Basic Experience: Must have 5 years of experience as a software engineer.

Specialized Experience: At least 2 years of experience working with Ada, standard query language (SQL), or third and fourth generation languages in the design and implementation of systems; 2 year of experience working with DBMS.

Duties: Reviews and analyzes system specifications. Prepares programming specifications. Analyzes existing systems and subsystems for reusability benefits and needed changes. Prepares design plans and written analyses, unit and test scripts, and documentation.

Education: B.A. or B.S. degree; Masters preferred or 3 years of equivalent experience in a related field.

Sr. Systems Consultant/Subject Matter Expert

Basic Experience: Must have 8 years of experience in the IT field.

Specialized Experience: At least 5 years of combined new and related older technical experience in the IT field directly related to the required area of expertise.

Duties: Defines the problems and analyzes and developers plans and requirements in the subject matter for moderately complex to complex systems. Coordinates and manages the preparation of analysis, evaluations, and recommendations for proper implementation of programs and systems specifications in the following specialities: cyber security, information systems architecture, networking, telecommunicaitons, automation, communications protocols, risk management/electronic analysis, software, lifecycle management, software development methodologies, and modeling and simulation.

Education: B.A. or B.S. degree – Masters Preferred

Systems Analyst II

Basic Experience: Must have 5 years of computer experience in information systems design and management. Must demonstrate an ability to work independently, or under only general direction, on requirements that are moderately complex to analyze, plan, program, and implement.

Specialized Experience: At least 3 years of experience in analysis and design of business applications for complex large-scale or mid-tier computer systems, or LAN-based systems, including experience in DBMS, and use of programming languages. Knowledge of current storage and retrieval methods; 1 year of system analysis experience designing technical applications on computer systems; and demonstrated ability to formulate specifications for computer programmers to use in coding, testing, and debugging of computer programs.

Duties: Analyzes and develops computer software possessing a wide range of capabilities, including numerous engineering, business and record management duties. Develops plan for IT systems from project inception to conclusion. Analyzes the problem and the information to be processed. Defines the problem and develops system requirements and program specifications from which programmers prepare detailed flowcharts, programs, and tests. Closely coordinates with programmers to ensure proper implementation of program and system specifications. In conjunction with functional users, develops system alternative solutions.

Education: B.A. or B.S. degree or 3 years of equivalent experience in a related field.

Systems Analyst I

Basic Experience: Must have 3 years of computer experience in assignments of a technical nature working under close supervision and direction.

Specialized Experience: At least 1 year of experience in analyzing and programming applications on large-scale or mid-tier computers (or LAN-Based) with a minimum of 1 year of experience designing and programming moderately complex IT systems.

Configuration Management Specialist

Basic Experience: 4 years of experience working in a software development environment.

Specialized experience: 2 years of practical experience in the use of automated tools for configuration management, software metrics, and performance monitoring for both hardware and software. Thorough knowledge of software development documentation and government documentation standard.

Duties: Maintain configuration baselines, ensure changes are in accordance with approved procedures; manage configuration in accordance with software development changes; report on impact on changes to the baseline configuration; serve as an advocate of change control; maintain quality assurance practices and procedures to ensure software is in accordance with approved policy and practices; address quality assurance policies and issues and report on quality-related issues and problems; and make recommendations for procedural changes when necessary to ensure software releases meet quality standards.

Education: B.A. or B.S. degree or 6 years of equivalent experience

Quality Assurance Specialist

Basic Experience: Must have 4 years of experience working with IT quality control methods and tools.

Specialized Experience: At least 2 years of experience in software testing and integration and a demonstrated knowledge of system and project lifecycles.

Duties: Must be capable of evaluating software and associated documentation. Participates in formal and informal reviews to determine information technology quality and in the development of software quality assurance plans. Examines and evaluates the SQA process and recommends enhancements and modifications. Develops information technology quality standards.

Education: B.A. or B.S. degree.

Technical Training Specialist

Basic Experience: Must have 3 years of experience in information systems development, training, or related fields.

Specialized Experience: At least 2 years of experience in development and providing IT and end user training on computer hardware, application software, and other technical areas of IT.

Duties: Interfaces with customer or management to develop course objectives and content. Researches technical concepts to develop course content. Develops moderately complex courses and delivers to end-users. Troubleshoots technical problems with computer systems used for training. Evaluates course content and makes changes to the curriculum and course content as appropriate. Works under minimal supervision and independently performs duties of moderate complexity.

Network Administrator II

Basic Experience: Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience.

Specialized Experience: At least 3 years experience.

Duties: Resolves complex network problems. Addresses network security issues. Interfaces with all client levels. Presents recommendations on network interfaces and configurations. Participates in and may lead aspects of major network installations and upgrades. Works with vendors and network analysts as appropriate to resolve unusually complex network problems. Provides guidance to less experienced network administrators. Performs complex assignments with little guidance. Has latitude in completing broad objectives.

Education: B.A. or B.S. degree or 3 years of equivalent experience.

Network Administrator I

Basic Experience: Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Specialized Experience: At least 1 year experience.

Duties: Trains end-users and responds to user inquiries. Sets up network security standards. Participates in major network installations and upgrades. Troubleshoots moderately complex network problems. Interfaces with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance. Develops and implements testing strategies and documents results. Acts as customer liaison. Works under supervision and performs duties of moderate complexity.

Education: B.A. or B.S. degree or 3 years of equivalent experience.

Network Security Specialist II

Basic Experience: Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience.

Specialized Experience: At least 4 years of experience in defining network security requirements for local and wide area networks, evaluation of approved network security product capabilities, configuring standard communications protocols, detecting and analyzing network vulnerabilities, and developing proper computer system security solutions.

Duties: Analyzes and defines security requirements for local and wide area networks. Designs, develops, engineers, and implements solutions that meet network security requirements. Responsible for integration and implementation of the network security solution. Performs vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development lifecycle.

Education: B.A. or B.S. degree; Masters preferred; Network Certifications

Senior Software Engineer

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience, in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field.

Experience:  6 years of software design and development experience.

Description:  Performs a variety of full life-cycle software development functions for existing and new software systems.  Defines, gathers and analyzes system requirements and specifications.  Designs architecture and data flow of software systems.  Programs software components to specifications.  Integrates, tests, and debugs software components.  Deploys and maintains software systems.  Serves as technical lead for software development efforts.  Prepares required documentation including program-level and user-level documentation.  Tunes system performance in both software and hardware.  Provides technical database support including database design, development and management.  Evaluates use of new technologies through research and development projects.

Software Engineer

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience, in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field.

Experience:  2 years experience in software design/development.

Description:  Performs a variety of full life-cycle software development functions for existing and new software systems.  Defines, gathers and analyzes system requirements and specifications.  Analyzes and documents complex business rules.  Assists in designing architecture and data flow of software systems.  Programs software components to specifications.  Integrates, tests, and debugs software components.  Deploys and maintains software systems.  Evaluates complex data and prepares reports of results.  Reports to technical lead for a task or project.  Prepares required documentation including program-level and user-level documentation.  May provide technical database support including database design, development and management.

Security Engineer/Security SE

Description: The Security / Senior Security engineer will serve as an information
security engineer on a Federal Civilian customer project. Provide detailed security documentation to include an updated C&A package that will include System Security Plan (SSP), an independent Security
Test & Evaluation (ST&E) report or Security Assessment Report (SAR), and additional vulnerability assessments / risk documentation as directed by the client. Provide recommendations for proper controls
and countermeasures based on the discovered vulnerabilities that are in compliance with Federal policies / mandates, standards, and guidelines, and best business practices for information assurance.

Requirements

Work Experience: 3-5 years IT experience with Bachelor’s Degree. At least 2 years working in the information assurance / information security discipline.
